 St. Andrew Groups

Bookmarks

The Bookmarks are a group of book lovers who meet twice a month to discuss books and socialize. Members of the group suggest books that might be of interest and we schedule our readings from the list. (Having read the book is not a requirement for attendance. You may come and listen, or come and tell us about something that you are reading.) Currently we are all retired women, so we are able to meet during the day. We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 1:00-3:00pm at Ruth Jaslowski's home. Newcomers are welcome!

Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts is a program for boys ages 7-10. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Boys can begin as Tiger Cubs as they finish Kindergarten, and then move into the Wolf and Bear Cub Scout programs (second and third grade, or age 8 or 9), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grade, or age 10). They then transition into Boy Scouts. Pack #492 meets at 7:00pm on Tuesday nights at St. Andrew.

Boy Scouts

Boy ScoutsBoy Scouts is an outdoor program designed to develop character, citizenship, and fitness for boys ages 11 through 17. Through the advancement program and peer group leadership, Scouting helps a boy develop into a well-rounded young man. The Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank in Scouting, is recognized around the world as a mark of excellence. Troop #492 meets on 7:00pm on Thursday nights at St. Andrew.

POACH HikesPOACH: Playing Outside After Church

Join us every fourth Sunday after worship for a hike exploring God’s creation. Our hikes are within a short driving distance and (most often) accessible to all age groups. Bring a sack lunch, comfortable hiking shoes, and appropriate gear for all weather and we’ll carpool to our hiking site.

St. Andy’s Gals

St. Andy's Gals is the affectionate name for our Women's Association -a group that enjoys fun, friendship and food! Join us the 3rd Monday of each month, starting with potluck at 6:30pm, followed by a devotion and program. All women of the church are welcome to be a part of our Women's Association. We host an annual Bazaar on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The proceeds from the Bazaar are donated to causes supporting women and children projects.

St. Andrew Prayers

The Prayer Chain is made up of people who commit their time and energy to pray for the special concerns brought forth in our worship services. Prayer requests are forwarded by e-mail to those that have signed up to be on the distribution list.

STARS

St. Andrew Retirees and Seniors, better known as STARS, welcomes all who enjoy gathering for a casual shared lunch-time meal and a stimulating program on the first Thursday of every month during the school year (September through June). In September we generate a list of possible topics and resources for programs, and then individuals or couples volunteer to be coordinating hosts each month.  Friendships are nurtured and laughter is a main ingredient of each time we get together. We hope all who participate will benefit from our “outrageous” hospitality!

Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is a social event in an informal setting. We currently meet at Doofer’s Bar and Grill, 16430 SE 128th St, Renton.  We meet in the dining room, and all ages are welcome.  We gather from 6:00–7:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month, but feel free to arrive and leave when you need to.  Please join us, reservations are not necessary.
